Putting Avocados in a bucket of water will stop the ripening process?

I just received some avocados from the country side of Haiti and I didn't want all of them to ripen at once, so I grabbed a couple and placed them in a big bucket of water to test and see if that will halt the ripening process.

In Haiti, OKRA is called KALALOU

In Haiti, OKRA is called KALALOU

In Haiti kalalou means okra. In other parts of Haiti they call it Kalalou Gonbo oe simply Gobno.

You may enconter other spellings such as Calalou or gombo... it's all the same... Okra...

Fresh organic vegetables from Haiti

Most, if not all, of the vegetables that you consume in Haiti when you come to visit are fresh organic vegetables from the Haitian countryside.

Here we could see beautiful carrots fresh tomatoes, celery, green peppers, onions, cucumbers and other vegetables all fresh and organic from local Haitian farms.
